I call the Canadian prairies home but I spent two years in the Maritimes to pursue my Masters in Library and Information Studies at Dalhousie University. Over the past five years, I’ve run away to visit England, France, Italy, Switzerland and Scotland, picking up ideas and recipes during my travels. I have trained as a professional bartender, and volunteer in this capacity for a local theatre company.
I have a vast collection of recipes that come from many sources. Many come from my grandmothers, my mother and my friends. I have been picking up recipe books since I started cooking as a young teen – it’s the fastest growing area of my book collection. Some of my favourite cookbooks are from restaurants I have visited over the years in Paris, Victoria and the Rocky Mountains.
If you have any comments or questions about the recipes here at chef-girl.net, feel free to email me. I would love to hear from you!
